Mike Gminski

Partner, Sana House Mentor & Sana Community Ambassador

Mike Gminski is best known as an All-American at Duke University, where he became one of the most decorated players in program history, and for his 14-year career in the NBA with the New Jersey Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, Charlotte Hornets, and Milwaukee Bucks. After retiring from the court, he built a successful career as a college basketball broadcaster.

Today, Mike brings that same leadership, presence, and resilience to his role as a Partner at Sana House, Mentor, and Community Ambassador. A person in long-term recovery, Mike provides direct mentorship to the men at Sana House, offering guidance, accountability, and encouragement as they navigate early sobriety and begin to rebuild their lives.

A central part of Mike’s journey has been his walk with Christ, which he credits as the key component of his recovery. Through his mentorship, he not only shares his lived experience but also provides spiritual support for men who seek strength and renewal in their own faith as part of the healing process.

As Sana Community Ambassador, Mike openly shares his personal story of recovery in the broader community, helping reduce the stigma and shame that often surround addiction. His openness and advocacy inspire not only our residents but also families and communities, reminding them that recovery is possible and worth pursuing.

Mike’s commitment to all things Sana, reflects the core of our mission: that healing requires connection, courage, and community — and that every man deserves the opportunity to discover a purposeful life in recovery.

Director of Admissions and Referral Relations

Grier Noyes serves as Director of Admissions and Referral Relations for Sana House and Sana Counseling, where her work brings together admissions, referral relations, and family support. She helps individuals, families, and professionals navigate what can often feel like an overwhelming next step in care.

Her connection to this work is also personal. Grier began her own recovery journey in Charlotte at 23, and the relationships and community she found there shaped both her life and the career that followed. She brings that perspective to her work with honesty, warmth, and a strong belief that meaningful recovery is built through connection, accountability, and belonging.

At Sana House and Sana Counseling, Grier is a resource for families, clinicians, interventionists, and other professionals seeking thoughtful guidance and the right next step for the people they support. In groups and one-on-one sessions alike, he focuses on creating a space where people feel heard, respected, and free to be honest about where they are, and then helps them move toward the life they want to build.

His path to counseling grew out of his own personal growth. Doing that work himself showed him how much it matters to have someone walk alongside you, and it shaped his commitment to offering that same steady presence to others.

Connor provides services under clinical supervision as part of his graduate training.
